You are bidding on one state-of-the-art, Cisco 1242 wireless access point . These industrial-grade access points come with the reputation and reliability behind the Cisco name, and these are perfect for a business wireless roll-out or development.

The 1242AG access point offers extensive configurability and features that make it suitable for handling many clients in a complex and changing RF environment. For example, these access points automatically scan the current wireless spectrum and then choose the channel that is most open and least congested. In the LWAPP managed mode configuration, these access points can also be managed using a single Cisco wireless access point controller (in Cisco jargon, a Cisco Wireless LAN Controller, or WLC). A WLC can coordinate and manage the signal power levels, wireless channels, interference, and signal to noise ratio, vastly improving reliability and speed of the wireless network.

This Cisco 1242AG AP’s are currently configured in LWAPP mode, meaning that they will not work without a WLC (which is not included). However, changing this AP to the autonomous mode configuration requires only a firmware swap.
